Profoto B10 Plus
The B10 Plus’s predecessor, the Profoto B10, is an industry favorite for a reason. Released in 2018, the B10 quickly made a name for itself as one of the smallest, most effective lightweight off-camera flashes available in this price range. Now, the new B10 Plus is a natural extension of the product line.
Power
The B10 Plus takes all of the convenience of the original and adds more power. In fact, its ten times more powerful than a speedlight in a package that’s similar in size and weight to a long camera lens.
Customization
Another important factor of this new model is its versatility. Its integrated continuous light has a wide range of outputs from bright to gentle which is great for shooting both stills and video. Plus, the adjustable color temperature makes it easy to blend light from the B10 with ambient light.
You also have light shaping tools at your disposal—the B10 Plus integrates with any tool from the lightweight OCF family and over 120 light shaping tools available from the full Profoto range.
Appearance + Interface
The B10 Plus looks very similar to the original and is on brand with the other Profoto products; it’s lightweight, cordless and has a clean, minimal interface.
The battery is quick and easy to switch in and out and you can also charge it while it’s in use. Additionally, the stand adaptor is removable so the light can be mounted on both camera tripods and light stands.
Connectivity
You can trigger and control the B10 Plus from any Profoto Air Remote or from the Profoto A1/A1X. However, the Profoto app lets you view and control all the settings from your smartphone screen and download product upgrades.
